Place the baby on the pillow; the baby should be of nipple level so that the mother does not need to hunch over when feeding. It should be adjusted perfectly to help the baby easily latch on during breastfeeding. One other benefit of the pillow is that it allows a support to the mother leaving her one hand free to multitask.

What a woman needs to look for when buying a nursing pillow is that it should have an adjustable height so that it can easily adapt to the level that the baby needs during feeding. Also, it needs to be flexible and is easy to use. It should not require major complexities when attaching it to the mother’s body as it will eat more time in preparing rather than feeding.

As much as possible, look for a pillow that has a removable cover, so that it can be washed regularly to maintain a clean pillow. Also the quality of the nursing pillow needs to stand for years as other babies can use it especially if the mother is planning to have another child.

    This pillows are excellent, I was lucky enough to get one as a gift and although I didn’t use it for a while, once my baby was born it has been a life saver.
